Wind and Sea is an original macra-weave piece made by artist Kim Leckey with the idea that there is nothing a long walk on the shoreline can’t fix. This piece is named after a time of great transition and contemplation while spent looking at the waves from the rocky cliffs of the beautiful yet deserted ‘Wynd and Sea” development in Ucluelet, BC. The repetition of patterns and textures mimics the environment and feeling that was felt while being held by her natural surroundings.
