Inspired by her deep love for the ocean and driven by the urgent environmental challenges we face, fiber artist Kimberly Leckey—known as Sea Woven—transforms salvaged materials into powerful statements of plastic rebellion. Residing in Ucluelet, BC, where discarded fishing nets and rope accumulate in a notorious pile dubbed 'rope mountain,' she confronts the profound waste of the fishing industry with creativity and purpose.

Sea woven is more than just your average fiber artist…

a NEW
COLLECTION

Sea Woven has commissioned driftwood artist @oddjobgia for a second round of custom frames, which were acquired by traveling to Grouse Island and salvaging an old water tank made with old-growth cedar. These one-of-a-kind frames will be made into a series of weavings inspired by the textures and feelings emanating from the PNW rainforests of her home in Ucluelet, BC.

“I purchased your Tofino Bag pattern and wanted to let you know how happy I am with the way my bag turned out.

I found the video so much easier to follow than other written patterns I have purchased.

Can't wait to make another one.” - Sue
